Good Orator, Week 1 Discussion 2

I agree that to be a good orator, a person should be morally good. That person needs to be able to be credible, so that one will believe what they are being told. Being morally good is what everyone should strive to be, so that, a person will be listened too when talking instead of being ignored. Having good morals would also make a person tell the truth when trying to persuade others. Being morally good usually means that a person knows the difference between right and wrong. Most people that lie probably don’t have goods morals anyways.  The connection between goodness, truth, and public communication is all intertwined. In order to be a good public communicator, one must always tell the truth. In order to persuade someone, being honest and truthful is a must. If someone doesn’t speak the truth, then it’s hard for others to believe them and they persuades doesn’t come across in the way they are intending. So goodness, truth and public communication is all connected.
