After reading the chapter, one thing that I found interesting were The Five Canons of Rhetoric. All of them are important and needed for good communication and speeches. The one that stuck out the most to me was the Delivery. It mentioned that a speaker should present their speech in an appropriate way. It should be a natural and assorted and your voice should express your emotions and interest with your speech. For some people the delivery of their speeches are the hardest parts for them. It does not come natural to some, and because of that it makes some people hate giving speeches. If the delivery of the speech does not come out the way a person intended it to, then their speech wouldn’t go as smoothly as they wanted it too. I believe that the delivery is even more important than memory because in order for the speech to be great, the delivery is one of the most important parts when speaking. Your delivery is what everyone sees when you give a speech. You can memorize a speech and not have good delivery skills and when you present your speech it might not be that great even thought you had all your words right. When you have a great delivery of a speech, even when you forget a part, you can easily cover it up and still have a great speech. So delivery is very important. All the canons of rhetoric are important and one should be great in all of the areas of it.
