Introductory Post

Hi Spring Semester Comm105P class!
I am a Junior at SJSU and I'm majoring in communications. This is my second semester at State and this is one of my first comm classes that I will be taking. I am very eager to start the class and see how this comm class will differ from prior ones I have taken. I went to West Valley previously and took communication classes there. I took public speaking and intercultural communications, which I really enjoyed.  I then received my AA in Liberal Arts before transferring to State. I was born and raised in San Jose. In high school I was involved in Leadership and played Lacrosse. I am a nanny and I go to school full time. I also work for SJ Giants during baseball season. I enjoy being around people and engaging in conversations. Some of my goals in this class would be to become a better communicator with different social groups and understand their ways of communication and how they differ from what I am used to. And to enhance my understanding of the way I communicate as a whole. I hope to get out of this class useful new skills that I can use every day and become a well rounded communicator.  I look forward to learning new things in this class and getting to know everyone.  Let’s have a great semester! :)
